  • We have the best of two lasers in ONE! Our blend of two different wavelengths make our treatments:

  • Laser energy based on wavelengths, is attracted by melanin in the skin around the follicle (selective photothermolysis) to create thermal necrosis of the hair follicles regenerative structures. Treatments are spaced out ensure hair follicles are treated in the Anagen (growing) and Catalan (transition) stages, resulting in permanent hair reduction.

  • On average clients require about 8-10 treatments for effective hair removal. Treatments are spaced 4-6 weeks apart based on the area targeted and it’s specific hair growth rate.

    *Patients that have had laser hair removal in the past may require less.

    Multiple treatments are required to ensure that all stages of hair growth are targeted by the laser light.

    Consultation

    Prior to beginning any procedures our providers will complete a consultation reviewing your medical history, medications, review pre/post treatment instructions and assess that laser hair the right choice for you.

  • For most target areas the procedure is not painful. In sensitive areas the procedure can be uncomfortable. The American Academy of Dermatology Association describes it as “like warm pinpricks or a rubber band being snapped against the skin”. At Magnum Opus our providers strive to ensure the procedure is tolerable for all clients we also utilize a cooling system that is built in to our laser to ensure the highest quality of comfort.

  • For all new laser hair removal clients plan for an additional 30 minutes for your provider to review your paperwork and ensure laser hair removal is your best choice.

    However after your first appointment the procedure can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes depending on how many areas are selected during one appointment.
